Year group representatives (neighborhood reps) are now part of BIS Houston PTO, which collects these donations on behalf of the class reps. This voluntary donation will cover the expenses for Academy Year 12 such as termly student incentives & treats (e.g. Refreshment & Sweet Treat, Easter(Spring) pre-exam chocolate incentive - just to name a couple) and the end-of-year celebration (e.g.Last year we had a fun end of year pizza pool party on the last day of the iGCSE’s.) As parent reps we will use some of the funds towards the senior sunrise breakfast on the first day of term in Y13. To mark the momentous occasion of their last first day of a new school year. These varied activities and incentives, really help to build camaraderie among the students across the Academy years.
The recommended contribution is $40 per student, and all money stays within the year group for the benefit of Year 12 students.
